![]() While the opening is kept intact and the trademark sound of ' Daddy Cool' continues to make an impression even after so many years, Raghav Sachar (who composes as well as sings the song) does well in integrating his own Indian bits to the song. That's the case with ' Daddy Cool' which is based on Boney M's ' Daddy Cool'. In the times when plagiarism is making headlines in Bollywood, it is heartening to see due credit being given to the source. Add to that the fact that there are just three tracks in the film and you wonder what really would be in store in Daddy Cool that has Raghav Sachar contributing with two songs and Farhad-Sajid with one. Now comes Daddy Cool and due to the genre of the film, there aren't many expectations that one carries from the musical score here. There were Masti and Dhamaal as well but frankly, the cracks started appearing as melody made way for item songs and the longevity factor went for a toss. Then came films like Aashiq, Rishtey and Pyaare Mohan that didn't really have much to cheer about. Di', Beta, Raja, Ishq and Mann had hugely successful musical scores. ![]() There was a time when music coming from the house of filmmaker Indra Kumar was guaranteed to be chartbuster. ![]()
